4G and 5G broadband
Details
If you are unable to receive even a moderate broadband internet connection (and we’ve seen plenty of these or looking for a backup that is a separate technology to your traditional BT, Virgin Internet), you could achieve a great connection through 4G LTE and 5G technology. 247 Services Group Stevenage IT Consultancy and Cambridge IT Consultancy.
4G LTE and 5G technology, just means your internet connection is not through the phone line, fibre connection or cable connected.
What is 5G?
5G is the 5th generation mobile data network that is a new wireless standard following on from 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. 5G enables a new kind of network that is designed to connect at a speed range of ~50 Mbps to over 1 Gbps.
Although 5G is starting to be rolled out in the UK, not everybody will be able to get it, and, equipment and costs are still expensive; expect it to reach 4G cost levels in 2 to 3 years time.
Why have 4G or 5G?
There are many reasons you might wish to have 4G broadband capabilities. You may be too remote to be reached by the conventional methods of internet delivery, had enough of paying for line rental when you never use the telephone or simply wish to have the flexibility to move your connection wherever you go; e.g. mobile homes or canal barges.
